The Child Support Division of the St. Clair County State's Attorney's office represents custodial parents in cases involving child support related issues. In order to access this service, an individual must first apply for Title IV-D services from the:

The DCSE office will determine eligibility and conduct an initial intake interview. If the matter is determined to be suitable for court action, the case is transferred to State's Attorney's office for that court action.
The State's Attorney's office provides representation on a variety of issues, including , but not limited to parentage (ie. DNA testing), establishment of child support and modification/enforcement of existing child support orders. The State's Attorney's office cannot represent individuals in court on other family law issues such as visitation, custody or division of property.
